Hi, I’m Liza
A self taught baker & long time bread lover. As a public health practitioner, my career focused on creating and analyzing health prevention and intervention programs. After joining my first CSA, I got super curious about our food system, foods we have access too, and how the foods we eat play a role in the systemic health outcomes we see on a large scale.
I started learning about ways in which our food sources are often teeming with proven harmful chemicals {such as pesticides, dyes, toxic additives, flavor enhancers, etc.} not to mention, also utilize destructive processes harmful to both animals and the environment.
All that to say… it really inspired me on a personal level and I’ve been cooking and baking up my own meals ever since! I love creating healthy recipes from quality, whole, nourishing foods and I’m so excited to be able to share them with you.

Meet Libby! The Mother.
She’s a bubbly, tangy queen of fermentation. She spends her days lounging in her mason jar penthouse, throwing wild yeast parties, and dreaming of a world where carbo-loading is the new ‘it’ diet.
Libby is a bit of a diva with her demanding feeding schedule but she makes the crustiest, most delicious bread you’ve ever had! Without her, none of this would be possible.
